Paul Filer Obituary

Paul Edward Filer, 71, of Bretz, WV passed away Thursday, April 24, 2025 in Fairmont. He was born on April 30, 1953 in Trenton, NJ, a son of the late Earle Filer and Ethel Whittaker Filer.

He is survived by one son, Jon Filer and wife Kimberley of Cheat Lake; three grandchildren, Taylor Filer, Connor Riddle and Aryanna Wiselogel; three siblings, Mary Lou Duffy and husband John, Jon Filer and wife Jean and Janet Waller and husband Dave.

Paul was a graduate of Rome Free Academy in New York, class of 1971. He had a passion for the construction industry which allowed him to work side by side with his son for 15+ years as a Master Carpenter and Heavy Equipment Operator. Paul enjoyed traveling to the country racing motocross, and spending time with friends & family.
