Patricia Ann Strong

Patricia Ann Strong, 80, of Elkton, VA passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2025 in Harrisonburg, VA.  She was born on April 26, 1944 in Monongalia County, a daughter of Wahneata Frymyer.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Steven Strong, who passed away on August 7, 2021.

She is survived by one brother, James “Jimmy” Ables; two sons, Michael Frymyer of PA, and Joseph Crouse (Jennifer) of VA; grandchildren, Justin Crouse of VA, Megan Kline (Joe), Michelle Congrove (TJ), and Molly Thomas (Holly) of OH and others.

In addition to her mother and husband, she was also preceded in death by her siblings, Thomas Ables, Mark Ables, Roy “Pete” Ables, Mary Gaskins and Betty Seacrest; and children, Robin, Robert and Shawn.

Patricia was a self-employed caregiver for many years.  She enjoyed sewing and needlework, taking care of her Amazon Parrots (Reno and Zadra) and her dog “Maggie” that recently passed away.  Most of all, she enjoyed taking care of her family and other people.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at 12:00 noon at Arnettsville Cemetery in Monongalia County.  Online condolences may be sent to www.DavisFuneralHomeWV.com.  Davis Funeral Home is honored to assist the Strong family.
