Pastor Roy Dale Sharp

Pastor Roy Dale Sharp, 81, of Upper Tract, WV went home to be with his Lord on Sunday, November 1, 2020 at Grant Rehabilitation and Care.  He was born March 29, 1939 in Upper Nicut, Calhoun County, son of the late Pastor Victor Vinton and Mary Lou Harold Sharp  

Roy Dale graduated from W.I. Class of 1957 and He served in the United States Air Force from 1957-1961 during the Vietnam War. He was a Pastor for over fifty years serving his Lord in the Baptist Church, Pentecostal Church of God and The Church of God.  His life was the church and was in the church quartet, was a youth director, an evangelist, held many church camps and traveled to revivals.        

Roy Dale is survived by his loving wife, Sue Ann Davis Sharp whom he married November 5, 1961; three children, Jeffrey Dale Sharp and Rita, Beckley, Melanie Sharp, Clarksburg, Gregory Lynn Sharp and Nicole, Asheville, NC; ten grandchildren, Christina, Samantha, Josh, Victoria, Patrick, Eliana, Elise, Marin, Mason and William; four great grandchildren; one brother, C.B. Sharp and Kay, Clarksburg; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Roy Dale was preceded in death by one brother, Dana J Sharp.

Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Drive, Clarksburg on Wednesday, November 4, 2020 from 11:00 AM until time of Funeral Service at 1:00 PM with Rev Robert Borror officiating with proper distancing and face mask required.  Interment will follow at Boring Cemetery with full military honors presented by the Harrison County Honor Guard and the US Air Force Honor Guard.
