Pastor Johnie L. Cole

Pastor Johnie L. Cole, 78, of Clarksburg passed away on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at United Hospital Center. He was born August 30, 1943 in Weston, son of the late James F and Noka Smith Boram. Johnie worked at WV Glass Specialty and was a minister for many years and served as chaplain at Clarksburg Nursing and Rehab for several years. He also worked as a funeral attendant at Davis Funeral Home. Johnie was a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, Boothsville United Methodist Church, and First United Methodist Church in Clarksburg. His greatest love in his life was his favorite cat. He is survived by his best friend Charles "Buck" Wilson of Clarksburg. In addition to his parents, Johnie was preceded in death by one twin sister at birth, Shirley L Cole. A Visitation will be held at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Drive, Clarksburg, WV 26301, on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 from 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM. A funeral service will be held in the Davis Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Mike Flanary officiating.
