Ory Scott Newbrough, 37, of Clarksburg, West Virginia, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, March 23, 2026, surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born on March 8, 1989, in Clarksburg, Ory was the cherished son of Mary Kay Satterfield and Robert “Bobby” Fazzini, both of Clarksburg.
Ory graduated from Liberty High School in 2008 and worked very hard over the years, most recently working as a foreman for the Clarksburg Water Board, where he dedicated four years of commitment and leadership, being recognized for employee of the year in 2025. Outside of work, Ory found his greatest joy in the outdoors—especially riding with his family and friends either at home in Glen Falls or at Hatfield. He lived life fast, fully, and freely, creating lasting memories with those he loved most.
Above all, Ory was a strong son, devoted husband, a proud father, and a loyal friend. He had a heart of gold and never hesitated to lend a hand or offer kindness to anyone in need. His warmth, generosity, smile, laughter, and “those dimples” will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, Ory leaves behind his beloved wife, Samantha “Sam” Newbrough, whom he married on July 7, 2023; his two precious children, OryAnna Jayne Newbrough and Clark Anthony Newbrough and their dog Harley; special great uncle, “Unc,” Larry Satterfield; maternal grandmother and husband, Karen McClain and Barry; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mary and Thomas Clark; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Jennifer Clark and Ryan Thompson and son Brody Thompson; god father, Antonio Washington and his brother, Alex Cain; and his sister, Haylee Cochran of Anmoore; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Anthony Fazzini. Ory’s paternal grandparents, Donnie and Joyce Newbrough.
In honoring Ory’s wishes, he asked that everyone come as they are—but wear blue. Nothing too “boujee.”
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to his Care Fund that will be put in a special account for his two children.
