Nancy Ann Davenport

Nancy Ann Davenport, age 91, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2026, at Cottingham Retirement Community in Sharonville, Ohio.

Born on March 1, 1935, in Ames, Iowa, Nancy was the beloved daughter of the late George Giffin and Anita Blanch Counce Sherwood.

Nancy dedicated her career to caring for others as a registered nurse and retired from Guadalupe Regional Medical Center after many years of faithful service. A Christian by faith, she lived her life guided by compassion, kindness, and devotion to her family and community.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George Giffin Sherwood and Anita Blanch Counce Sherwood.

Nancy is survived by her brother, Robert Sherwood of Union, Kentucky, and sister, Mary Kelly of West Chester, Ohio, as well as many cherished nieces and great nieces and nephews who will fondly remember her love, wisdom, and gentle spirit.

Family and friends are invited to honor Nancy's life and memory, Private interment will be held at Mount Vernon Cemetery in Philippi, West Virginia.

Nancy's legacy of caring for others, her steadfast faith, and her devotion to family will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
