Mitchell Rymasz, 88, of Summit Park, Clarksburg passed away on April 5, 2020 at The Salem Center. He was born October 7, 1931 in Clarksburg, son of the late Joseph and Katherine Klemick Rymasz.
Mitchell worked at Pittsburgh Plate for many years and then retired from Forco Glass with combined service of over forty three years. Mitchell was an avid hunter, farmer, an organic gardener, a handy man, and carpenter. He attended United Methodist Temple. Mitchell was the last living resident of the old Tin Plate Hill area gang which is now Summit Park Ave.
Mitchell is survived by his wife of sixty two years, Jeannette Pierce Rymasz whom he married on May 4, 1957; three daughters, Anaria Rymasz, Clarksburg, Nancy Stockwell and Michael, Murfreesboro, TN, Carol Fijn and Walter, Mt. Airy, MD; four grandchildren, Walter, Catherine, Christopher, and Marten Fijn.
In addition to his parents, Mitchell is preceded in death by two brothers, Joe and Steve Rymasz; one sister Genevieve Powell and her daughter, Nathaile Cox.
Private visitation and service will be held at Davis Funeral Home with interment to follow at Bridgeport Cemetery. A public memorial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Summit Park Volunteer Fire Department, 249 Simpson Street, Clarksburg, WV 26301.
