Michele Rose Minard

Michele Rose Minard, 69, of Buckhannon, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 12, 2026 in Buckhannon.  She was born on August 11, 1956 in Clarksburg, a daughter of the late Joseph M. Minard and Jean Ann DeMeester Minard and Mary C. Minard.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bruce Woods.

She is survived by her siblings, Marisa Rios, Marcia Black and husband David, Michael Minard and wife Mary, Maria Yoakum and husband Ken and Sam Minardi and wife Christine.

Michele was a graduate of Notre Dame High School, Class of 1975. She retired from the West Virginia Division of Highways, where she worked in Administration for 20 years. Michele found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved spending time reading a good book, listening to her favorite music, and sharing special moments with her family. She was especially devoted to her beloved dog, whose companionship brought her much comfort and happiness.

Those who knew Michele will remember her gentle nature, kind heart, and quiet strength. She was a peaceful and reserved person whose calm presence made others feel at ease. Though soft-spoken, she was always pleasant to be around and genuinely enjoyed conversations with family and friends. Michele possessed a warmth that was felt by those fortunate enough to know her, and she valued the relationships she shared throughout her life. Her caring spirit, unwavering love for her family, and thoughtful nature will be cherished and remembered by all who loved her.

Michele leaves behind a legacy of kindness, grace, and quiet compassion that will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
