Michael “Mike” Joseph Steffick

Michael “Mike” Joseph Steffick, 61, of Clarksburg, passed away suddenly on Sunday, May 14, 2023. He was born October 25, 1961 in Clarksburg, WV son of Norma Lee Lawson Steffick of Bridgeport and the late Joseph “Joe” Albert Steffick, Jr.

Mike graduated from Bridgeport High School, Class of 1979 and Fairmont State University. After high school, Mike participated in body building competitions where he captured many titles including Mr. West Virginia and Mr. Teenage America in 1980. Mike worked in Georgia and New Jersey after college as a pharmaceutical rep and eventually came back home to West Virginia where he became the president of Joes Flies. Mike never knew a stranger and always had a smile on his face.

In addition to his mother, Mike is survived by his significant other of fifteen years, Jacinda Moore; brother, Patrick Lee Steffick and Rebecca of Milton; cousins, Thad and Monica Steffick, Billy, Sarah, and Lisa Steffick, George Lynn Hess, Shelley Capel, Andrea and Aaron Lawson; considered family, Justin Moore and Tamika, children, Zuri, Sasha and Malik.

In addition to his father, Mike is preceded in death by his grandparents, Joseph and Helen Marie Clennix Steffick, Gordon and Beatrice Ice Lawson; several aunts and uncles.

Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home 124 Olen Thomas Drive, Clarksburg WV for visitation on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 from 3:00-7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2023 in the Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00AM. Interment will follow at Bridgeport Cemetery.
