Michael "Mike" Wilson McDaniel

Michael “Mike” Wilson McDaniel, 65, of Clarksburg, WV, passed away on Saturday, August 12, 2023. Mike was born on July 22, 1958 in Wilmington, DE, son of the late Samuel and Mary Katherine McDade McDaniel.

Mike graduated from Washington Irving, Class of 1976 and Salem College with a degree in Accounting. He served his country in the United States Navy and was proud of his military service. Mike was a caring, compassionate man with a great sense of humor. His hobbies were reading, music, weapons, and animals.

Mike is survived by and aunt and uncle in Delaware; special cousins, Mary Elisabeth Parker, Johnny Mike Anderson, and Christopher Paul Anderson; several additional cousins; one niece, Zoie McDaniel; best friends, Doug Crump, Jana Floyd Palumbo, Lorita Salaets, and Kevin and Joyce Williams.

In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his brother, Patrick Walden McDaniel.  

Friends will be welcome at the Clarksburg VFW Post 573, 430 W Pike St, Clarksburg, WV on Saturday, September 2, 2023 to Celebrate Mike’s Life from 2:00-6:00pm.
