Michael Lester Griffith

Michael L. Griffith, 71, of Clarksburg passed away at his home on Saturday, May 3, 2025.  He was born on July 24, 1953 in Clarksburg, a son of the late Erie Griffith and Sylvia Hashman Griffith.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Cheryl A. Moore Griffith, whom he married on December 31, 1975.

He is also survived by his son, William Griffith and wife Kaitlin of Clarksburg, one grandson Wesley Griffith; and one brother, Garry Griffith.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his siblings, Yvonne Quickle, Larry Griffith and Erie “Bud” Griffith.

Michael was employed by the Exponent Telegram, Mountain State Auto Auction and most recently the County Board of Education as a Security Guard until his retirement.  He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and sometimes hunting.
