Michael Allen Alderman

Michael Allen Alderman, 68, of Weston, passed away on Friday, July4, 2026 at Davis Memorial Hospital in Elkins.  He was born on September 18, 1957 in Charleston a son of the late Harry Alderman and Ottie Estep Alderman

He is survived by his children K’leb Alderman and Victoria Alderman, both of Weston; siblings, Gary Alderman and wife Sheila, and Betty Alderman; grandchildren Kaylyn and Austin Wilson, Chase Carroll, Brandon and Jason Alderman; many nieces and nephews; a special niece, Missy Alderman; a special nephew, Robbie Alderman, with whom he was really close.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his siblings, Butch Alderman, Patricia Mager, Janice Alderman, Jean Shepherd, David Alderman, Ruby Sergent, Doris Burke and Richard Alderman.

Michael was a proud graduate of East Bank High School, Class of 1975. He dedicated much of his career to the coal mining industry, working in mines throughout West Virginia, where he was known for his strong work ethic, determination, and dependability. Michael was a hardworking, strong, caring, respectful, and loving man who was always willing to lend a helping hand to others.

He found his greatest joy in the outdoors and enjoyed spending his time hunting, fishing, trapping, and dog hunting. Whether he was on his tractor, working the land, or cheering on the excitement of dirt track racing, Michael embraced the simple pleasures of life. He will be remembered for his kind heart, unwavering strength, and the love he shared with his family and friends.
