Melba "Mae" Leuliette Menendez

Melba “Mae” Leuliette Menendez, 96, of Clarksburg passed on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at the John Manchin Nursing Home. She was born November 18, 1925 in Clarksburg, WV, daughter of the late Henry Theodore and Jennie Blodwin Davies Leuliette.

Melba was a proud homemaker and loved taking care of her family. She was a member of United Methodist Temple and always read her bible. Her hobbies were singing, listening to music, walking, sewing, and crocheting.

Melba is survived by four children, Stanley Menendez and Lynda, Ocala, FL, Robert “Bob” Menendez and Sheila, Clarksburg, David Menendez and Lynne, Clarksburg, and Jenny Yost, Clarksburg; ten grandchildren, Andrew “Andy” Menendez and Karie, Bobby Menendez and Marra, Ricky Menendez, Ben Menendez, Madelynne Masters and Brad, Mallory McWhorter and Ryan, Daniel Menendez and Sarah, Bill Yost and Kathy, Michael Yost and Jess; four step grandchildren, John Smith and Lara, Jerome Smith and Christie, Christian Smith and Jennifer Blair and her husband Keith; ten great grandchildren, Andrew, Audrey, Lillian, Adaline, Logan, Maverick, Uriah, Oliver “Ollie”, Townes and Ellis; seven step great grandchildren, Jake, Zach, Zoey, Kayla, River, Canyon and Knox; four great great step grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Melba was preceded in death by her husband,  Joe S Menendez on October 16, 2000 whom she married on June 14, 1947; one grandson, Joseph Menendez; son-in-law, Charles Glen Yost; daughter-in-law, Ellie Menendez; three brothers, Theodore Clifford Leuliette, Charles Benjamin Leuliette and Chester Leroy Leuliette.

Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home 124 Olen Thomas Drive, Clarksburg on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 from 3-7pm. Funeral Services will be held in the Chapel of Davis Funeral Home on Thursday, November 17, 2022 at 11:00am with Rev Harry Jenkins officiating. Interment will follow at Bridgeport Cemetery.
