Melba June Shaw

Melba June Shaw, 71 of Hepzibah passed away on Sunday, September, 10, 2023 at United Hospital Center with family by her side following a brief illness. She was born on May 31, 1952 in Clarksburg, daughter of the late Hayward Clark and Lelia Isabell Williams Flowers.

She was a long-time member of the Salvation Army and she was employed at the Holiday Inn for many years.  She was the secretary of Home League at the Salvation Army of Clarksburg.  She loved to read and was a devoted mother, sister, wife and friend

Melba is survived by her husband of fifty years, Larry Joe Shaw whom she married on May 2, 1970; three sons, Larry Joe Shaw, Jr. and wife DeeAnn of Salem, James Shaw and wife Michelle of Salem and Brian Shaw and wife Stacy of Northview; grandchildren, Joey Shaw of OH, Cameron Shaw of OH, Twylia Pumphrey of Weston, Shelby Shaw of Salem, and Brittany Altovilla of Stealey, Raven Shaw of Northview; siblings, Larry Flowers and Bonnie, NY, Shirley Wallick, OH, Linda Ferrell of OH, Dory Cox, of Florida, Teresa Glaspell and Jimbo, Reynoldsville; numerous great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Melba is preceded in death by one brother, Hayward Blair Flowers and his wife Donna Flowers.  

The family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home on Rt. 98 Clarksburg/ Nutter Fort on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 from 2PM until the Time of the Celebration of Life Service at 5:00PM with Major Tonya and Major Eric Roberts officiating the service.  Online condolences may be sent at www.DavisFuneralHomeWV.com. Davis Funeral Home is honored to serve the Shaw family.
