Megan Marie Allawat, 31, of Clarksburg, passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at United Hospital Center.
Megan was born on August 5, 1994, in Clarksburg, a beloved daughter of Jill Marie Gillespie Paletta and Steven Lee Allawat, both of Clarksburg.
She leaves behind a legacy of love in her three cherished children, Riiley Lipscomb, Calleigh Lipscomb, and Xavier Lipscomb and Tyler Lipscomb their father and Beth Myers their grandmother. In addition to her parents and children, Megan is survived by her brother, Christopher Allawat of Clarksburg; her maternal grandparents, Edward Herbert Gillespie and his wife Tracey, and Caroline Woods; her stepbrothers, Terry and Jeremey Paletta; as well as several loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Megan was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Lee Allawat Jr. and Frances “Fran” Louise Lambiotte, and her stepfather, Terrance Lee Paletta.
Megan will be remembered for her creative spirit and the simple joys that brought her happiness. She worked at Hardee’s, Chick-fil-A, and Circle K, where she met many friends along the way. She had a special love for collecting The Nightmare Before Christmas figurines, and she found joy in playing video games, drawing, and expressing herself through marker art. Her kindness, creativity, and love for her family will forever be cherished.
Family and friends will be received at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Drive (Route 98), Clarksburg, on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 6:00 p.m., with Pastor Mike Player officiating.
