Mary Lou Smith, 84, of Lost Creek, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, March 26, 2026.
She was born on March 5, 1942, in Clarksburg, West Virginia, a beloved daughter of the late Carl Vance Smith Jr. and Sadie Lucreta Smith.
Mary leaves behind cherished memories with her close friends, Robert Straley; Charles “Danny” Straley; Martha Straley; and her son, Phillip Rabanal and his wife, Lydia, along with their two children, Tanith and Bryn, all of whom she held dear.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved sister, Cora Mae Smith.
Mary was a proud graduate of West Milford Unidis High School. She dedicated 45 years of her life to her career as a parts manager at Griffith, Inc., which later became Star Motors. Her strong work ethic and loyalty left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
She was a faithful member of West Milford Baptist Church. Mary found joy in life’s simple pleasures—tending to her flowers, listening to music, and especially treasuring the moments spent hearing her sister Cora Mae play the piano. Those memories remained close to her heart.
Family and friends will be received at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Drive, Route 98, Clarksburg, on Sunday, March 29, 2026, from 12:00 noon until 4:00 p.m., and again on Monday, March 30, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Bryon Fisher officiating.
