Mary Catherine Shingleton Satterfield

Mary Catherine Britton Shingleton Satterfield, 57, of Clarksburg passed away suddenly on September 16, 2021 at home. She was born on September 22, 1963 in Clarksburg, the daughter of Mary Louise Frazier Britton of Clarksburg and the late Earl Clifton Britton.

Mary graduated from Liberty High School, Class of 1981. She was a homemaker. Mary enjoyed video games and loved spending time with family and her fur babies.

In addition to her mother, Mary is survived by husband, Thomas “Tom” Alvin Satterfield whom she married on July 5, 1999; four children, Joshua Andrew Shingleton, Clarksburg, Amanda Louise Eakles and Frederick, West Union, Bradley Alexander Shingleton and Maggie, Clarksburg, Cassandra Jean Caton and Cory, Clarksburg; two grandchildren, Frederick Eakles III and Monica Kara Eakles; one brother, Delbert Britton, Clarksburg; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.  

In addition to her father, Mary was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert “Bobby” Shingleton; one brother, Clifton Earl Britton; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Samuel Satterfield Sr and Barbara Sue Grise Satterfield.

Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Dr., Clarksburg, WV 26301 on Monday, September 20, 2021 from 3 to 7:00 PM. Funeral Service will be held at Davis Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at 11:00 AM with Senior Pastor Charles Madaus of Bible Baptist Temple in Stonewood officiating.
