Mary Margaret "Peggy" Post

Mary Margaret “Peggy” Post, 77, of Salem, passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at United Hospital Center with family by her side. She was born on August 17, 1947 in Clarksburg, daughter of the late Camille Edgar Aucremanne Sr. and Marian Marguerite Perry Aucremanne

Peggy graduated from Notre Dame High School, Class of 1965 and from St Mary’s & Union Protestant School of Medical Technology. She was employed by the Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center as a Medical Technician in Laboratory Service for many years. She was well respected for her clinical work and for her dedication to veterans. Peggy was a devoted friend and confidant to many people. She was a devoted wife to her husband Rick. Her love for her girls and her grandsons was most important to her. She was very proud of their accomplishments. Peggy enjoyed reading, traveling to her favorite places: Alaska, Italy and the beach. She loved watching the grandsons play sports and spending time with them each week along with having lunch with the VA Lab chicks. She attended Marshville Baptist Church for many years.      

Peggy is survived by her husband of 45 years, Richard “Rick” Aubrey Post Jr. whom she married on January 25, 1980; two daughters, Kelly Lynn Franke Garrett (Jason) Bridgeport, Elizabeth Anne Post Means (Scott) Clarksburg; three grandsons, Jacob “Jake” Eli Means, Brantley Reid Garrett and Lucas Eli Garrett; five siblings, James “Jimmy” Aucremanne (Teresa) Charleston, Stephanie Thompson (Steven) Clarksburg, Christiane Heath (Richard), Florida, Bryan Aucremanne, Alaska, and Camille “Sonny” Aucremanne Jr (Robin) Stonewood; numerous nieces and nephews.  

In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by one brother in infancy, Patrick Aucremanne.

Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Drive, Clarksburg for visitation on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 from 3:00 PM until the time of the Funeral Service at 7:00 PM Pastor Ron Owens officiating.
