Mary Virginia (Jones) Harris

Mary Virginia Jones Harris, 76, of Bridgeport passed away on Monday, September 14, 2020 at home with family by her side. She was born June 1, 1944 in Clarksburg, daughter of the late Joe Franklin and Pearl Elizabeth Young Jones.

Mary was a private investigator and President of Harris Security Agency along with her husband for many years.  Her hobbies were sewing, cooking and doing arts and crafts.  She was a member of the Christian Apostolic Church. 

Mary is survived by her four sons, Howard Lee Harris and wife Joyce, Richard Alan Harris, Thomas Wayne Harris and Robert Ray Harris all of Bridgeport; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband Howard Lee Harris to whom she was married for over fifty years; two sisters, Sue Harris and Rose Bowen.

Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Dr., Clarksburg, on Thursday, September 17, 2020 from 10:00AM until the time of the Funeral services at 12:00Noon with Pastor Doug Joseph officiating. Interment will follow at Stonewall Park Cemetery. Family request no flowers and donations be made to her funeral care fund on her memorial page.
