Marlene Ann Newbrough

Marlene Ann Newbrough, 77, of Clarksburg passed away on Monday, January 18, 2021 at United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, WV. She was born on October 21, 1943 in Dawmont (Dawson Mines), the daughter of the late Raymond Edward and Mary Mechinsky Newbrough.

Marlene was a fifty-year member of the Clarksburg Fraternal Order of the Eagles 2353. She also enjoyed playing bingo, traveling and loved spoiling her nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Marlene graduated from Victory High School, Class of 1961. She worked as an office manager for Dr. Dana Bragg for thirty-two years. Marlene loved life and was always smiling.

Marlene is survived by three sisters, Barbara Jean Coberly and Betty Domicela Watts Dye, both of Clarksburg, and Mary Lillian Meck and Steve, of Johnstown, PA; one brother, Roy Raymond Newbrough, of Clarksburg; three nieces; six nephews; and several great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Marlene was preceded in death by one great nephew, Lucian Lee Watts.

Family will receive friends for visitation at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Drive Clarksburg, WV 26301, on Friday, January 22, 2021 from 3:00 PM until time of the Prayer Vigil at 7:30 PM. Catholic Burial Rites will be at Davis Funeral Home Saturday, January 23, 2021 at 11:00 AM with Father Casey Mahone as Celebrant. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
