Mark Edward Duncan, 67, of Clarksburg, passed away on July 28, 2025 in Bridgeport. He was born on August 13, 1957 in Clarksburg, a son of the late Carl Edward Duncan and Mildred Spring Duncan.
He is survived by two sons, Robert Duncan of Clarksburg and Aaron Duncan and wife Denise of West Milford; three grandchildren, Kadence Elise Duncan, Dakota James and Brayden James; one sister, Susan Righter and husband Bill of Good Hope; two brothers, Michael Duncan of Stonewood and John Duncan of Flatwoods; and his former wife, Rhonda Lyon and her husband David.
Mark was a carpenter and auto mechanic by trade and was employed through the carpenters union. Mark is leaving behind a world a little quieter, a little less bright — but forever changed by his kindness. He was the kind of man who’d give you the shirt off his back and make you laugh while he did it. Generous to the core, genuine to the bone, and the type who never met a stranger, because once you met him, you were a friend. If you were lucky enough to be part of his world, you knew what real loyalty felt like. He had grease-stained hands and a heart bigger than any engine he ever worked on. Old cars weren’t just a hobby they were a passion. He loved tinkering in the garage, bringing old machines back to life, finding beauty in the broken and joy in the work. When he wasn’t under a hood, he was outside with fishing pole in hand, or camping beneath the stars. He found peace in quiet places, and happiness in the simple things: a crackling fire, a cool morning, the sound of water lapping at the shore.
Per his wishes he will be cremated. Online condolences can be made at www.DavisFuneralHomeWV.com. Davis Funeral Home is honored to serve the Duncan family.
