M. Jeannette Rymasz, 86, of Summit Park passed away on Sunday, April 11, 2021 at her daughters’ residence in Laurel Valley with family by her side. She was born February 21, 1935 in Clarksburg, daughter of the late Amos and Freda Bork Pierce.
Jeannette graduated from Victory High School, Class of 1953. She worked at Hazel Atlas and cleaned homes for many families in Clarksburg for over thirty years. She attended United Methodist Temple. She was a very proud homemaker, crafter, canner and organic gardener. Jeannette enjoyed gardening, sewing, and cooking. She loved being a grandmother and spending time with her family. She sang with the Bell Tones Quartet and enjoyed traveling with the ladies to perform.
Jeannette is survived by three daughters, Anaria Rymasz, Clarksburg, Nancy Rymasz Stockwell and Michael, Murfreesboro, TN, Carol Fijn and Walter, Mt. Airy, MD; four grandchildren, Walter, Catherine, Christopher, and Marten Fijn; one step-daughter, Jenny Stockwell Woelke and Steve; four step great grandchildren, Mikey, Duncan, Mason and Delaney; two siblings, Dee Dee Watson, Clarksburg, Sonny Pierce and Joyce, Daytona Beach, Fl; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Jeannette was preceded in death by her husband, Mitchell Rymasz on April 5, 2020 and whom she married on May 4, 1957; two sisters, Katie Hayes and Betty Rose Patton
Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Drive, Clarksburg, WV 26301, on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 from 11:00AM until time of Funeral Service at 1:00PM with Dr. Lou Ortenzio officiating. Interment will follow at Bridgeport Cemetery. The family would like to thank Dr John Angotti, nurses, Paula and Lori and Office Support, April for all the help and kindness during Jeanette’s illness.
