Marian Lee Bland, 59, of Mount Clare passed away Friday, October 22, 2021 at United Hospital Center with family by her side. She was born December 26, 1961 in Clarksburg, daughter of the late Boyd Lee Whipkey and Mary Amanda Wolfkill-Whipkey.
Marian was working for Bi-County Nutrition Program as the Head Cook for over ten years. She enjoyed collecting nick knacks, especially little cows, cooking and feeding everyone, gardening, her animals, rabbits, dogs, birds, fish tanks, spending time with her family, friends, and especially her grandchildren. She had a generous heart and was always helping others.
Marian is survived by her husband of thirty-eight years, George Denver Bland whom she married on August 23, 1983; two daughters, Amanda LeighAnn Bland-Fleming and Larry, Clarksburg, Ashley Nicole Bland and William “Alex” Barker, Nutter Fort; two grandchildren, Adalynn Jayde Wetzel and Brayden Maverick Wetzel and their father, Barry Wetzel Jr; step mother, Ann Whipkey, Lost Creek; siblings, Vincent Matthew Whipkey and Beth, Clarksburg, Lori Elaine Riddle and Ernie Jones, Clarksburg, Paul Norman Whipkey and Tammy, Mount Clare, David Jay Allen and Maria, Sterling, VA, Jason Ray Allen and Teresa, Good Hope; mother-in-law, Anna Lee Bland, Mount Clare; brother-in-law, Arkie Riddle; sisters-in-law, Donna Whipkey, Kilgore, TX, Cindy Bostick Dixon, Longview, TX; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, Marian was preceded in death by her siblings, Robert Dean Whipkey, David William and wife Maureen Whipkey; nephew, Michael Grant Whipkey; brother-in-law, Harry Dale Heater Shreves; sister-in-law, Debra Denise and husband Gary Chip Dotson; father-in-law, James Donald Bland.
Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Drive Clarksburg, WV 26301, on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 from 3:00-8:00PM.
