Margaret Ann Rittenhouse

Margaret Ann Rittenhouse, 95, of Sun Valley, passed away peacefully in Bridgeport at United Hospital Center on Wednesday, March 15, 2023.  She was born on February 9, 1928 in Clarksburg, a daughter of the late Seymour Newbrough and Gladys Shinn Newbrough.

She was preceded in death by the love of her life of 72 years, her husband Robert “Bob” Rittenhouse in May of 2019.  She was also preceded in death by her brother Seymour “Bud” Newbrough.

She is survived by her son, Robert Rittenhouse and his wife Melinda of Salem; grandchildren Lara Johnson and her husband Judd, Ashley Skiles and her husband Don, and John Mason Cross; great grandchildren, Arsinoe Johnson, Landon, Ashton and Aldon Skiles; and her nieces and nephew.

Margaret was a member of Reynoldsville Baptist Church and she worked for C&P Telephone Company for many years.  Margaret will be dearly missed by her many friends and caregivers, most of all, her two cats, Tillie and Fluffy.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association.

Family and friends will be received at the Davis Funeral Home on Monday, March 20, 2023 from 4:00-7:00 PM.  The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Jon Hayes presiding.
