Luther "Dick" Martin Barrett

Luther “Dick” Martin Barrett, 71 of Clarksburg passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2022 at his residence. He was born on January 1, 1951 Clarksburg, WV; the son of the late Harry H. and Bertha E. (Bailey) Barrett.
Dick was a member of the NRA (National Rifles Association). He enjoyed collecting coins, watching westerns, playing cards, hunting and fishing. He loved spending time with his family and playing jokes on them.
 Dick is survived by six children, Elisha Cutright and husband Jeff of Clarksburg, Heather Bender and husband Andrew of Hacker Valley, WV, Luther Barrett Jr of Clarksburg, Nathan Barrett and wife Amy of Spencer, WV, Christopher Barrett and wife Erin of Morgantown, and Joel Barrett of Nutter Fort; five siblings, Wayne Barrett and wife Nancy, Becky Miller, Carolyn Suggs, Marquitta Jones and husband Dave, Ruth Syers and husband Matt; ten grandchildren, Joshua Cutright, Tiera Cutright, Tiffany Boggs, Ethan Bender, Kayla Tender, Emily Barrett, Nathan Jr. Barrett, Waylon Barrett, Jude Barrett, and Nicholas Barrett; five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. 

In addition to his parents, Dick was preceded in death by his wife, Karen Sue Barrett on September 7, 2018; four siblings, Linda West, Elizabeth Robinson, Johnny Barrett, and Leroy Barrett.

Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Dr., Clarksburg, on Thursday, June 23, 2022 from 3-7PM; Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of Davis Funeral Home on Friday, June 24, 2022 at 11:30PM with Pastor John Elbert presiding. Interment will follow at the West Virginia National Cemetery with military honors accorded by the Harrison County Honor Guard and the US Army Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to his Care Fund on his memorial page.
