Luther Dwight Jenkins, 76 of Clarksburg passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2021, at United Hospital Center. He was born April 14, 1944 in Clarksburg, son of the late, James Lee and Velma Crane Jenkins. Luther retired as a carpenter from the Carpenters Union Local 436 in Bridgeport. He was a member of the Clarksburg Moose Lodge 52, Elkins Moose Lodge 375 and was the Prelate at the Shinnston Moose Lodge 929. He was a lifetime member of the Boy Scouts. Luther ran with the Harrison County Emergency Squad for over twenty years. He was also a member of the United Methodist Temple. Luther is survived by one son, Kenneth Dwight Jenkins and companion Misty Dawn Bailey; sister-in-law, Margaret “Jaunice” Jenkins, Good Hope; nieces, Patricia “Patty” Bunnell and David, Lost Creek and Catherine “Cathy” Webber and Ronald, Boynton Beach, FL. In addition to his parents, Luther was preceded in death by his wife whom he married April 1, 1969, Selby Marie Trader Jenkins who passed January 3, 2014; one brother, James Jenkins on June 12, 2012. Family and friends will be received at Davis Funeral Home on Sunday, February 14, 2021 from 1-6 pm. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday, February 15, 2021 at 12:00 noon with Rev Michael Burge officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
