Lorna Jane "Cookie" Perry

Lorna Jane “Cookie” Perry, 91, of Mt Clare WV, passed away in Grafton on Tuesday, June 9, 2025.  She was born on October 23, 1933 in Grafton, a daughter to the late Ralph H. and Mary Susan DeMoss Shafferman.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Junior Perry, whom she married on July 15, 1954.

She is survived by one brother, John Darryl Shafferman and wife Kimberly of Grafton along with numerous nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Martha Lee (Shafferman) Murphy, two brothers, Fredrick Zane Shafferman and Gerald Ralph Shafferman.

Lorna was a graduate of Grafton High School class of 1951.  She worked at the Inwood Restaurant in Thornton, which helped pay her way through business school.  She was employed by the VA Hospital where she was a secretary in the Engineering Department until her retirement.   She enjoyed working with ceramics, quilting and weaving wicker baskets.

Family will receive friends at the Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Dr. Rt. 98, Clarksburg on Thursday, June 12, 2025 from 3:00-7:00 PM.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 13, 2025 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Robert Vanhorn presiding.
