Lois Arlene (Hart) Sprouse

Lois Arlene Hart Sprouse, 80, of Mannington, passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at her home in Mannington.  She was born on October 6, 1944 in West Union, a daughter of the late Herman Junior Hart and Audra Delores Leggett Hart.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years James Jackson Sprouse, whom she married on July 27, 1973.

She is survived by two children, James A. Sprouse and his fiancée Leann Hostuttler and Kimberly Sprouse, all of Mannington; siblings, Jean Hart of Nutter Fort, Michael Hart and wife Dora, Phillip Hart and companion Dorothy Sandy, all of Bridgeport; and several nieces and nephews; step sister, Janie Sandy and two step brothers, Davie Sandy and Denny Sandy and wife Myra; and a half-brother Roger Dale Leggett.

She was also preceded in death by her sister Donna Sandy and brothers, Timothy Hart, Larry Hart and Ralph Hart; step sisters, Connie Sandy and Brenda Sandy.

Lois was employed at Pratt Whitney on the cleaning line for several years.  Most of all she enjoyed taking care of her husband and family.  She enjoyed gardening, crafting, and camping.  She will be remembered as a people person and enjoyed talking with people.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to her care fund set up through Davis Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home on Rt. 98 Clarksburg/ Nutter Fort on Friday October 18, 2024 from 10-11AM where  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am with Pastor Gilbert Neeley presiding in the Chapel of Davis Funeral Home.
