Logan Michael “Gogi” Howard, 42, of Clarksburg passed away at his home on April 9, 2026. He was born on September 26, 1983 in Fort Lauderdale, FL a son of the late Jack Ray Howard and survived by Carol Jean Beasi Howard with whom he made his home.
He is survived by one son, Lexton Michael Howard; one brother, Jon Howard; and numerous friends that he worked and hung out with; one niece Bree Howard of NC and her mother Shelly; the mother of his child, Lauren Washington and her daughter, Laraya; his uncle William Beasi and wife Sue and their daughters, Tiffini and Tiara; great nephew, Robbie; niece and nephew, Angela and Johnny Beasi; Godparents, Mary Mells and Tony Caputo; and close friends, Jason, Larata, Sherry, Sabrina and Stacy.
In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Michael and Delores Beck and his maternal grandparents, John and Rose Beasi; and one uncle Robert Beasi.
Logan was a graduate of Robert C. Byrd High School and spent his working years in and around the Clarksburg area, where he made connections with many people along the way. He worked at Cherokee Flag Company, delivered for Happy Garden, and most recently worked at D'Annunzio's Bakery, and Mia Marguerita where, he was a chef assistant.
Logan had a wide range of interests that reflected his personality. He enjoyed sports betting, playing the lottery, and online gaming, always drawn to the excitement of chance. He was an avid sports card collector and took pride in his collection of Nike apparel and shoes. He was also very skilled with computers and had a natural ability to figure things out and help others when they needed it.
In his younger years, Logan played youth sports with the Elks Jerry West Basketball Team, where he was an MVP. Those who knew him remember his competitive spirit and love for the game.
Above all else, Logan’s greatest joy in life was his son. He loved spending time with him and treasured every moment they shared together. He had a generous heart, often putting others before himself, and lived with a simple, minimalist outlook on life. He was giving by nature and found happiness in the small things. He also shared a loyal and loving bond with his dog, Snookers, who was always by his side in his younger years.
