Linda Almeda Abell, 74, of Flemington, passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at United Hospital Center. She was born on February 14, 1952 in Marysville, CA, a daughter of the late Jesse William Harper and Ethel Mae Sizemore Harper.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Robert Bland Abell; one son, Michael Robert Abell of Bruceton Mills, grandchildren, Ashley Kirk and husband Gage, Tania Knick, Christopher Abell, Kenzie Abell, Addy Abell, Abby Abell and August Abell; great grandchildren, Braxtyn Abell, Zayden Abell, Scarlett Kirk and Olivia Kirk; sister, Sletta Mazzie and husband John; niece Tera Goff.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by an infant sibling, Harper and a toddler sibling Faye Rene; Roy Jo Harper and wife Pansy, Leonard “Rusty” Harper, Jody Harper and wife Quma and a sister-in-law Diane Harper.
Linda was a graduate of Fairmont State University, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. Following graduation, she worked in Weston for several years helping children, a role that reflected her caring nature and compassionate heart.
Throughout her life, Linda embraced creativity and independence. She enjoyed reading, shopping, and collecting purses, hobbies that reflected her vibrant personality and unique sense of style. An entrepreneur at heart, she owned and operated Heart Desire Flea Market and also managed a restaurant at Lake Floyd, where she enjoyed meeting and connecting with people from all walks of life.
Linda was truly one of a kind, someone who thought outside the box and approached life in her own special way. Her kindness, humor, and individuality left a lasting impression on those who knew and loved her.
