Lester Pierce Carpenter

Lester Pierce Carpenter, 92, of Clarksburg passed away on Sunday, July 18, 2021 at his residence. He was born on June 1, 1929 in Anmoore, the son of the late Martin Elam and Blooma Stout Carpenter.

Lester was a jokester by nature and loved to laugh and smile. He was a member of the Broad Oaks United Methodist Church for over fifty years. He was also a member of Moose Lodge #52 in Clarksburg for many years. He enjoyed to collect coins and was an award-winning mall walker at the Meadowbrook Mall in Bridgeport. He ran over 50,000 miles on record during his thirty plus years as a runner.

Lester is survived by one son, Roger Carpenter and wife Vicki of New Milton, WV; two grandchildren, Ricky John Bramos and Annamarie Powell; and two great granddaughters, Katelyn and Chole Bramos.

In addition to his parents, Lester was preceded in death by his wife of many years, Ellen Louise Gardello Carpenter.

Lester was cremated as per his wishes. Davis Funeral Home and Onsite Crematory handled the cremation arrangements for the Carpenter Family.
