Laura Ann Phillips

Laura Ann Phillips, 68, of Bridgeport, passed away on Monday, September 30, 2024 in Bridgeport at United Hospital Center.  She was born on August 2, 1956, in Atlanta, Georgia, a daughter of the late James Burdette and Sarah Cronin Burdette.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Thomas Phillips, whom she married on July 23, 1973.

In addition to her husband she is also survived by her siblings, James Burdette, Jr., Donna Gentes, Barbara Thompson, Melanie Nitolo and Angela Rakestraw; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Michelle Phillips and her son, Thomas Phillips, Jr.

Laura was previously employed with Rich’s Department Store and also Delta Airlines.  She enjoyed gardening, collecting windup toys and Hello Kitty.  Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at All Saints Catholic Church on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at 10:00 am with Father Walt Jagela as Celebrant. Interment will take place at a later time in Georgia.
