Larry Edward Knapp, 68 of Wolf Summit passed away on Sunday, April 25, 2021 at United Hospital Center after a battle with ALS. He was born April 29, 1952 in Clarksburg, the son of the late Harley Edward Knapp and Jean Matheny Knapp.
Larry attended Bristol High School. He retired from Universal Enterprises, INC in Shinnston as a Sand Blaster. He would participate in the office NASCAR drawings, with getting to pick normally last and would get stuck with Kevin Harvick who would come out on top many times and he would walk around very proud. He enjoyed old cars, fishing, car shows, and especially loved watching NASCAR. Larry enjoyed working out in the yard, planting a garden, splitting wood and helping anyone that needed help. Larry loved the West Virginia Mountaineer Football and the New England Patriots. He loved seeing his great nieces, Ashley and Haley and spending time with them. As a hobby he enjoyed wood working, building flower pots, and benches. In addition to his mother, Larry is survived by two siblings, Richard Knapp and Wanda, Canton, OH, Cheryl Knapp, Wolf Summit; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and cousins. Special thank you to niece and nephew, Kathy and Thomas Buckhannon for helping during this difficult time.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by grandparents, several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
In keeping with Larry’s wishes he will be cremated and due to Covid, there will be a Celebration of Larry’s Life at a later date..
