Larry Glenn Griffith, 77, of Clarksburg, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, December 20, 2025. Born on February 13, 1948, in Clarksburg, Larry was the son of the late Ralph Charles Griffith and Dora Dale Radcliff Griffith. Clarksburg was not just his hometown—it was the place where he built his life, raised his family, and became known for his quiet strength and kind heart.
Larry was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Patricia Ann Griffith, who passed away on June 23, 2020. Their love and partnership remained a defining part of his life, even after her passing.
He leaves behind his children, Matthew Griffith and Larry Griffith, both of Clarksburg, and Tina Paugh; and fourteen grandchildren who brought immense joy and pride to his life: Kelsi, Alisha, Rosie, Jessica, Brittany, Amber, Jacob, Michelle, Heather, Joey, Katelyn, Caroline, Avery, Lorayha, Christopher and Andrew. Larry is also survived by his siblings, Doug Griffith and wife Linda of Nutter Fort, Greg Griffith, and Bob Starkey of Clarksburg; brothers and sisters-in-law Nancy Griffith, Sherry Gallo, Sandra Phares, and Johnnie Harris; along with several nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.
In addition to his parents and wife, Larry was preceded in death by his daughter, Sherri Griffith, and his siblings Henry Griffith, Jeff Griffith, Tim Griffith, Carolyn Reed, Ron Starkey, Vickie Boals, and Dowell Starkey.
Larry was a hardworking man who wore many hats throughout his life. He worked at Whites TV, Alkire Tire, in merchandise and appliance sales, and was always willing to lend a hand fixing lawn mowers, weedeaters, or small engines. Known for his quiet nature, Larry didn’t seek attention—he simply showed up, worked hard, and cared deeply for those he loved. Above all else, he was a devoted father and a proud, loving grandfather who treasured time with his grandchildren.
