Katherine "Katy" Ann Keely

Katherine "Katy" Ann Keely, 75, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2026, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, West Virginia.

Born on August 25, 1950, in Boston, Massachusetts, Katy was the daughter of the late Herbert Dane Hoover and Margaret Anne (English) Hoover.

Katy was a woman of remarkable intelligence, compassion, and dedication. She earned her degree from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor and went on to pursue a distinguished career in medicine. As an intern, she attended the Pittsburgh School of Medicine, where she devoted her life to caring for others and helping educate future generations of medical professionals.

Katy is survived by her loving husband, Dennis Patrick Keely; her son, William Tomasic; and her cherished grandchildren, Ali, Juliane, and Kacey. She is also survived by her four sisters, who will forever treasure her memory.

In addition to her parents, Katy was preceded in death by her first husband, John F. Tomasic Jr.; and her two sons, Michael Dane Tomasic, Steven Tomasic; one step-son, John Tomasic.

Katy will be remembered for her dedication to her family, her commitment to medicine, and the kindness and strength she shared with all who knew her. Her legacy lives on through the many lives she touched both personally and professionally.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. She will be inurned at St. Joseph Cemetery in North Versailles Township, Pennsylvania, at a later date.

Family and friends are invited to remember Katy and celebrate her life in their own special way as they honor her memory and the lasting impact, she made on those around her.
