Karen Sue "Suzie" Posey

Karen Sue “Suzie” Posey, 75 of Salem, departed this life on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at her residence with family by her side. She was born on April 15, 1948 in Clarksburg, daughter of the late John Clifford and Cordellia J Allen Posey.

Suzie is survived by her siblings, Martha Davis, Bristol, WV with whom she made her home, Zeldia M Johnson, of Salem, and Mina Metz and husband Alan of Warren, OH, and her sister-in-law Sue Posey of OH; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Freda Swiger and her husband Warren; brothers, Wayne Posey and wife Mary, Roy Posey and wife Betty, Tom Posey and wife Sally, Denzil Posey and wife Ruth; and Ronald Posey; Brother-in-law Brooks Johnson; Sister-in-law Karen Johnson Posey.

Suzie enjoyed music, especially country gospel and bluegrass gospel, westerns and flowers.  She loved everyone and always had a smile on her face.  She will be missed but never forgotten.  God has received a special Angel. 

Family and friends will be received at the Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Drive, Route 98, Clarksburg on Sunday, September 17, 2023 from 1:00 pm until 5:00 PM. Funeral Service will be held on Monday September 18, 2023 at 11:00am with Pastor Carl Radcliff officiating. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
