Karen Sue Carder

Karen Sue Carder, 60, of Clarksburg, passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2025 in her home and surrounded by her family.  She was born on April 26, 1964 in Clarksburg, a daughter of the late Edward Stormick.

She is survived by her mother Vivian “Bubbles” Zebley Stormick with whom she made her home and provided excellent care for her; She is survived by her daughter, Lindsay Carder and her fiancée James Bolton of Pittsburgh, PA; two sisters, Rebecca “Becky” Spitler and husband Steve and Debra Clevenger and husband Jeff; nieces and nephews, Jason Werner and wife Christina, Jennifer Werner and fiancée Travis Johnson, Steven Spitler, Amy Skiviat and husband Josh; great nieces and nephews, Scott Werner and Madison Werner, Sarah Arehart, and Brayden Arehart, Dustin, Kacee, Tyson, Devon, Taylor, Aubree, Morra, and Dylan Skiviat; and other extended family.

Karen was a warm and kind lady and her outgoing personality allowed her to never meet a stranger.  She had a bubbly personality and was a prankster who loved to make people laugh.  She enjoyed playing card games, watching movies with her mother Bubbles and being outside during the warmer weather.  She also loved to cook and spend her time with her family.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt gratitude for all of her caregivers and the many services that provided care for her including family services, WVU Hospice, Home Health WVU, all of her physicians and nurses as well as Nutter Fort and Anmoore EMS.
