Julian “Juke” Wash, Sr., 75 of North View, passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2022 at United Hospital Center. He was born September 12, 1946 in Clarksburg, the son of the late Joseph and Thelma Persico Barbina Wash.
Juke retired from the Clarksburg Water Board with over twenty-eight years of service. He was a member of the St. James Catholic Church. He was an avid golfer, and collected old cars. His favorite was a 1966 Pontiac GTO. He was a jack of all trades, could fix anything and his strength was remarkable.
Juke is survived by his wife, Vera Ann Gillispie Wash whom he married on August 5, 1973; one son, Julian Wash Jr, North View; two grandchildren, Lilliam Wash and Lizah Wash; a daughter, Dr. Catherine Olsen and granddaughter Isabella Olsen; one sister; Carolyn Griffith, North View; like a brother, Fay Swiger and Nancy, East View and all the Swiger family he was raised with; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Juke was preceded in death by his son, Joseph Domonick Wash; his brother, Reverend Father Patsy Joseph Wash; his two sisters, Anna Marie Yeager and Sarah Skoch
A Catholic Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at 11:00 am at the St. James Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Akila Rodrigo as celebrant..
