Julia "Juls" Ann Martiska

Julia “Juls” Ann Martiska, 87 of Clarksburg passed away on August 10, 2020 at her home with family by her side. She was born in Clarksburg on January 10, 1933, the youngest daughter of the late Steve Michael and Anna “Tiffy” Ladda Martiska.

Juls is survived by her sister, Evelyn Ann Harris, whom she made her home with all of her life; one nephew, William “Bill” Harris Jr, Clarksburg; one niece, Debra Kroll Gayheart and husband Eddie, Savannah, GA; great nieces, Tracy Childers and husband Ron, and Aime Shaffer and husband Garth; great nephews, William “Billy” Harris, III, Steven Harris and wife Jennifer, and Chad Kroll and wife Colleen; great-great nephews, Jake Shaffer and Cormac Kroll; and great-great nieces, Lexi Shaffer and Ellie Harris.

In addition to her parents, Juls was preceded in death by her sister, Margaret; and brother-in-law, William “Bill” Harris, Sr.

Juls graduated from Washington Irving High School, Class of 1950. She was employed at Hazel Atlas Glass Factory, Anchor Hocking Glass Factory for thirty-five years, and Gabriel Brothers in Bridgeport for twenty years until her retirement. Juls was a member of Holy Rosary Church until its closing. She then became a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Stonewood.

Family and friends will be received at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Dr., Clarksburg, WV, on Thursday, August 13, 2020 from 2:00-8:00 PM with a Vigil Rite Service at 7:30 PM. A Funeral Liturgy will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church on Friday at 10:00 AM with Father Kumar Reddimashu as celebrant. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Juls wanted to thank all of her AA Fellowship friends for all of the love and support through all the years. She also wanted to thank Dr. Maurice Rhodes, WVU Medicine Hospice, and Town and Country Drug Store.
