Judy Rose Garner, 79, of Bridgeport passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at her home. She was born on December 15, 1944 in West Union, a daughter of the late Don Shinn and Neva Cross Shinn Ritter.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Lionel Garner whom she married on March 27, 1964.
She is also survived by two sons, Greg Garner and wife Brandie of Salem and Jeff Garner and wife Vicki of Katy, TX; grandchildren, Hayden Garner and wife Mina of Bryan, TX, Ethan Garner of Bryan, TX, Mallory Garner of Katy, TX, Alex Garner and wife Sarah of Rio Rancho, NM, Marcky Roland and husband Clancy of Colorado Springs, CO, Shelby Garner of Rio Rancho, NM, Adyson Garner of Salem, Hayden Delaney of Salt Lake City, UT, Derek Delaney of Clarksburg, Russell Garner of Rio Rancho, NM, Elizabeth Garner of Rio Rancho, NM, Austin Garner of Rio Rancho, NM, Penelope Roland of Colorado Springs, CO, Sunny Roland of Colorado Springs, CO and Fletcher Roland of Colorado Springs, CO; one sister, Debra Cantrell and husband Mark of Bridgeport.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one brother, Larry Shinn.
Judy was a graduate of Doddridge County High School class of 1963 and also received her Associates Degree in Business Administration from Averett College in Danville, VA. She was retired from her job as a Church Administrator doing secretarial work for Kingwood Church of Christ in Kingwood, TX.
She enjoyed playing golf, music and travelling, especially to the beach. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
