Judith “Judy” Rose (Drumpus) Bennett, 87, of Clarksburg, passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of love, memories, and quiet strength that will never be forgotten.
Born on April 1, 1939, in Reynoldsville, Judy was the cherished daughter of the late Andrew and Florence “Edna” Willoughby Drumpus. She carried with her the values of hard work, kindness, and devotion to family throughout her life.
Judy is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Erin Jacqueline Bennett of Clarksburg, who was the center of her world. She is also survived by her sister, Myra Sienkiewicz of Charles Town; sister-in-law, Jeanie Bombardiere, Clarksburg; her two special nieces, Kelly Marple and Tara Luton; and many additional nieces and nephews who will forever hold her memory close.
She was reunited in passing with her beloved husband, Jack C. Bennett, whom she missed dearly since his passing on November 10, 2015, as well as her sisters, Jean Neff and Carole Flowers.
A proud graduate of Victory High School, Class of 1957, Judy brought joy and spirit to everything she did—whether twirling as a majorette in the marching band or singing as part of the Sextet. Her strong work ethic defined much of her life, dedicating over 30 years to Continental Can Company, Brockway Glass, and Anchor Hocking as a glass packer. Even after those chapters closed, she continued caring for others in her role as a cook at Clarksburg Continuous Care.
Judy found happiness in life’s simple pleasures—playing bingo with friends at the Eastview Senior Center, getting lost in a good book, decorating her home for the holidays, cooking and baking for those she loved, and tending to her flowers with gentle care. Her faith remained an important part of her journey, from her baptism at Reynoldsville Christian Church to her later attendance at United Methodist Temple.
Above all, Judy’s heart was full of love for her family—and for the many cats she proudly adored as a devoted “cat grandma” to Erin’s fur babies. Her warmth, humor, and nurturing spirit will be deeply missed.
A private interment will be held at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to her Care Fund on her memorial page.
