Judith “Judy” Rae Evans

Judith “Judy” Rae Evans, 81, of Clarksburg, passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at her residence.  She was born on April 9, 1942 to the late Basil B. Bartlett and Opal K. Thompson Bartlett.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Evans, Jr. who passed away in 2016.

She is survived by her brothers and sisters, Richard Bartlett, Jerry Bartlett, Linda LaFlam, Carol Jensen Frost and Sharon Shearer; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Virginia Rumple, Jack Bartlett, Don Bartlett, Janice Landreth, Diane Ledbetter, Joanne Walker.

Judy was a 1960 graduate of Victory High School.  She was employed by Dominion Gas for several years until her retirement.  She enjoyed quilting and yardwork.  She loved all animals and she was very fond of her cat “Smokey.”

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Humane Society of Harrison County.

Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home 124 Olen Thomas Drive, Clarksburg, WV 26301 for visitation on Friday, May 12, 2023 from 11:00 am until the time of the service at 12:00 pm with Pastor Doug Sands officiating. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
