Judith Elaine Chipps

Judith Elaine Chipps, 75, of Bridgeport, passed away on Sunday, September 19, 2021 at Stonerise of Clarksburg. She was born September 1, 1946 in Wolf Summit, West Virginia, daughter of the late Clyde Harley Chipps and Agnes Gertrude Hammond.

Judith is survived by four children, Melodie Manganello and husband Tony, Bridgeport; Beverly Thompson and husband Todd, Bridgeport; Valerie Rathbun, Clarksburg; Robert “Bobby” Jackson, Clarksburg; one sister, Eleanor Chipps, Laurel Valley; grandchildren Tony Manganello, Michael Manganello, Kristin Helms, TJ Thompson, Kelsey Ashcraft, Megan Loy and Corey McDonald, who were raised like her children; great grandchildren, Mila, Liam, Miles, Paisley, Paxton, Aiden, Wyatt, Leah, Adalyn, Asher, and Jayce; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Judith, was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Wayne Peeples, Sr., by her soulmate, Robert Franklin Jackson, one son, Kenneth Wayne Peeples, Jr. and siblings, Jeannie Alexander, Harry Chipps, Rita Kennedy, Clyde C. “Sid” Chipps.

Judith graduated from Bristol High School and worked as a waitress and housekeeper. She enjoyed spending time with family, especially her grandkids.

The family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Drive, Clarksburg, WV 26301, on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Thursday, September 23, 2021 from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 12 noon with Pastor John Hayes officiating.
