Joyce Kay Norris

Joyce Kay Norris, 75, of Clarksburg, passed away on Monday, January 13, 2025 at her home.  She was born on February 18, 1949 in Weston, a daughter of the late James Alpheus Bennett and Gladys Virginia Wamsley Bennett.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Donald Norris, whom she married on January 8, 1972.

She is also survived by two children, Matthew Norris and wife Wilma Marie of Anmoore and Brenda Maki and her husband Gary of Weston; grandchildren, Abigail Fox, Betthany Hurst, Emily Chapman and husband Ethan, Mary Rowh and husband Jon and Erin Kelly and husband Joe; and eleven great grandchildren; one brother, Earl Bennett of Weston.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one brother, Bob Bennett.

Joyce was a graduate of Lewis County High School; class of 1967 and she also attended the West Virginia Business College.  She was employed as a Labor Relations Secretary for Dominion for many years.  She enjoyed traveling, gardening, canning, taking care of flowers, especially roses and gladiolus. She also enjoyed watching hummingbirds and butterflies.

Family and friends will be received at the Davis Funeral Home, Sunday, January 19, 2025 from 1-5:00PM. Graveside services will be held at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens on Monday, January 20, 2025 at 11:00AM with Reverend Tim Kelley presiding.
