Joshua Adam Watson, 37 of Clarksburg passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at home with his family by his side after a courageous battle with cancer. Josh was born on August 8, 1983 in Clarksburg, the son of Timothy Lee Watson and stepmother Kimberly, Northview, and son of the late Cheryl Lynn Carlyle VanScoy and stepfather Donald. Josh graduated from South Harrison High School, Class of 2001 and attended Fairmont State College. Josh worked as a contractor doing security, sales, ran his own business and most recently cared for his mother and stepfather during their battles with cancer. He was an avid Miami Dolphins, New York Yankees and WVU Mountaineers fan. His hobbies were working out, watching all sports, golfing, and fishing. In addition to his father and stepmom, Josh is survived by his daughter, Nevaeh Brinkley, Bridgeport; two siblings, Amber Nichole Benincosa and Jonathan, NC, and Timothy Lee Watson II, Beckley; niece and nephews, Braeden, Asher, Silas, and Nadia; stepsister, Casey LeMay and sons, Psyron and Jaxon; stepbrothers, Derek Vanscoy, Parkerburg, Billy Davisson and daughter Ally; Sardis; stepmom, Candace Fontaine, NC; special aunt, Ann Miller, Clarksburg; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Family and friends will be received at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Dr./Rt. 98, Clarksburg on Saturday, September 12, 2020 from 2:00PM until time of funeral service at 6:00PM with Evangelist Rich Bartoli officiating with proper distancing and face mask required. Private Graveside Service will be held at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to his Funeral Care Fund on his memorial site.
