Joseph “Joe” Clyde Queen, 69 of Lost Creek passed away on Thursday, September 4, 2025. Born on December 15, 1955 in Charleston, SC, Joe was the son of the late Leslie Ray Queen and Dorothy Lee Parsley Queen.
A proud graduate of Roosevelt Wilson High School, Class of 1974, Joe went on to serve his country with honor in the National Guard. He later dedicated his career to Pratt and Whitney as an airplane engine inspector, where his meticulous nature and strong work ethic left a lasting mark. Joe was a man who found joy in the simple, quiet moments of life. He had a deep love for the outdoors and spent countless hours hunting and fishing, finding peace in the woods and along the water. His memberships in the NRA and Bass Pro Association reflected not only his passion, but also his camaraderie with others who shared his love of nature.
Joe leaves behind his three children: Darren Queen and spouse Bridget of Orange, VA, Jeremy Queen and spouse Jennifer of Lost Creek, and Kelly Queen Shade and spouse Tony of Clarksburg; grandchildren: Olivia, Ansel, Alden, Anthony, Trey, Sydney, Kaleigha, DaRius, Mekhi, Ahven, and Toryn; siblings: Jesse Queen of Bridgeport, Penny Romine of Morgantown, and Kevin Queen of Philippi; sister-in-law, Jeannine Queen of Clarksburg; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to his parents, Joe is preceded in death by his brother, Timothy Queen.
Per Joes wishes, he will be cremated.
