Joseph Edward "Joey" Scheuvront

Joseph Edward “Joey” Scheuvront, 51, of Fairmont, formerly of Clarksburg, passed away peacefully at his home on May 19, 2026. He was born on July 3, 1974, in Clarksburg, the beloved son of Sarah Compton Cici of Clarksburg and the late Raymond Leroy Scheuvront.

Joey leaves behind the love of his life and longtime companion of 32 years, Bobbi Jo Perine. He is also survived by his two sons, Brian Poindexter and his wife, Nikki, of Farmington, and Joshua Perine of Barbour County. He will be deeply missed by his siblings, Rayma Perine and husband Richard of Clarksburg, Patricia Scheuvront, and Carol Scheuvront, both of Clarksburg.

He also leaves behind many cherished nieces and nephews: Sarah Perine, Rachael Knotts, Katie Perine, Richard Perine, Brian Poindexter, and Joshua Perine; as well as his beloved great-nieces and great-nephews, Dekota, Jacob, Cassie, Raylynn, Guage, Ethan, Naomi, Delaney, Chase, Lillie, Wyatt, Atreus, Brian, and Asher.

In addition to his father, Joey was preceded in death by his brothers, Raymond Scheuvront Jr. and Kevin Scheuvront.

Joey was a quiet, easygoing man whose greatest happiness came from spending time with the people he loved most — his family. He enjoyed working on cars, repairing small engines, and being outdoors. A hardworking and dependable man, Joey was always willing to lend a helping hand or take on a new project. His gentle spirit, unwavering work ethic, and deep love for his family will forever be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
