John "Whitey" Gary Price

John “Whitey” Gary Price 77, of Mt Clare passed away on Saturday, August 2, 2025 at the Louis A Johnson VA Medical Center. He was born on March 30, 1948 in Buckhannon the son of the late Washington “George” John Jackson and Mary Vieva Gum Price.

Whitey served his country in the United States Air Force serving during the Vietnam War and was stationed in Germany.  He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing with his wife. He was an avid Gun Collector.  He retired from Fourco Glass with over 25 years of Service.

Whitey is survived by three sisters-in-law, Flora Ann Price, Anmoore, Sharon Ferrell, Orlando, FL, Michelle Bowers, Clarksburg; special nieces, Ellie Nester (Justin), and Terri Price Shaffer (Mike) several additional nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.    

In addition to his parents, Whitey was preceded in death by his wife Patricia “Patty” Ann Price on Nov 1, 2021 and whom he married on September 26, 1977; one brother, Larry J Price; one nephew, Christopher Patrick Jackson Price; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Family will receive friends for visitation at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Drive Clarksburg, WV 26301, on Thursday, August 7, 2025 from 3-7:00PM. Funeral Service will be Friday, August 8, 2025 at 11:30AM with Pastor Tim Kelly officiating. Interment will follow at the WV National Cemetery where full military honors will be accorded by the Harrison County Honor Guard and the US Air Force Honor Guard.
