John "Johnny" Dale Escolopio

John “Johnny” Dale Escolopio, 62, of Wallace, was called to his heavenly home on January 30, 2025 at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. He was born January 28, 1963 in Baltimore City, MD, son of the late Andrew John and Dorothy Ellen Ice Escolopio.

John was a loving father, husband, and grandfather who loved his family very much. He was an avid outdoorsman and collector. He also liked to talk on the CB radio; His handle was White Knight. John enjoyed spending time with family when he could. He was the baby of four; a head strong, loving soul who loved trains, and enjoyed his pets and eating his pizza.

He is survived by his soulmate, Shannon Newbrough Escolopio; seven kids, Timmothy D. Escolopio (Allison) Charlotte, NC, Megan M. Wood (Daniel) Nutter Fort, Susan A. Owens (Wes) Haywood, Shawn Newbrough (Shannon) Louisiania, Billy Minks, (Cindy),Ohio, Tabatha Pamplin (James) Arkansas, Shaina Newbrough, Wallace; two brothers, Frank A. Escolopio (Peggy) Monument, CO, Robert A. Escolopio (Casey)  Ruby, SC; thirteen grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his sister, Deborah Kernes and multiple grandparents; Frank and Rose Escolopio, Dale and Gladys (Dye) Ice. 

Family and friends will be received at the Davis Funeral Home, Monday, February 3, 2025 from 3:00 PM until the time of the Funeral Service at 7:00PM with Pastor Tim Sandy officiating.
