John William “Bill” Robinson 90, of Clarksburg passed away on Friday, July 10, 2020 at the Louis A Johnson VA Medical Center. He was born April 4, 1930 in Reynoldsville, WV, son of the late Francis B and Juenita McCartney Robinson.
Bill graduated from Victory High School, Class of 1948. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War .He worked in the mold shop at Hazel Atlas, Continental Can, Anchor Hocking, Brockway and retired from Newell Rubbermaid with over thirty five years of service. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed watching sporting events on TV. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and family. He was a member of the Reynoldsville Baptist Church.
Bill is survived by two children, Mark Robinson and wife Debbie of Raleigh, NC and Adda McAtee and husband Perry of Mooresville,NC; four grandchildren, Natalie New and husband Chipper, Mallory Robinson, Alec McAtee, and Trey McAtee; two great grandchildren, Madelynn and Cade New; one sister, Bernice Moots, Reynoldsville; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine “Nena” Mae Robinson on December 14, 2019; three sisters, Shirley Lakey, Mary Farence, Maxine Garrett; two brothers, Basil “Bob” Robinson and Charles “Duck” Robinson.
Davis Funeral Home and Onsite Crematory is handling the cremation for the Robinson Family. A Private Celebration of Bill’s Life will be held at a later date by the immediate family.
